JEvent
JEvent is a calendar module for Joomla.
Go to the link above to download the JEevent.
Choose the latest Free Downloads JEvent, currently 1.5.3
- Click into the download page
- Click the download button (Green and on the right)
- This explains JEvent
- There is a link on this page: main component, click on this
- Save this file to your desktop. We suggest you create a folder called Joomla.
- In your administrator back end of your website:
- Click into Extensions
- Click into Install/Uninstall
- Under Upload Package File click on Browse
- Browse to the Desktop Joomla folder you created in step 1
- Open the file com_jevents_1.5.3.zip (Click file, Click on Open)
- Now click on Upload File & Install.
- It should come back with a successful install page.
- Everything else is optional, but we suggest that you install at least:
- Click on Mini-Calendar Module - which gives an overview of events which can be placed on any page
- Save this file to your desktop. We suggest you create a folder called Joomla.
- In your administrator back end of your website:
- Click into Extensions
- Click into Install/Uninstall
- Under Upload Package File click on Browse
- Browse to the Desktop Joomla folder you created in step 1
- Open the file mod_jevents_cal_1.5.3.zip (Click file, Click on Open)
- Now click on Upload File & Install.
- It should come back with a successful install page.
- Click on Latest Events Module - which gives a brief summary of upcoming events
- Save this file to your desktop. We suggest you create a folder called Joomla.
- In your administrator back end of your website:
- Click into Extensions
- Click into Install/Uninstall
- Under Upload Package File click on Browse
- Browse to the Desktop Joomla folder you created in step 1
- Open the file mod_jevents_latest_1.5.3.zip (Click file, Click on Open)
- Now click on Upload File & Install.
- It should come back with a successful install page.
- Click on Legend Module - this gives the key to the category colours and is needed by the main calendar component if you want this to display at the bottom of the calendar
- Save this file to your desktop. We suggest you create a folder called Joomla.
- In your administrator back end of your website:
- Click into Extensions
- Click into Install/Uninstall
- Under Upload Package File click on Browse
- Browse to the Desktop Joomla folder you created in step 1
- Open the file mod_jevents_legend_1.5.3.zip (Click file, Click on Open)
- Now click on Upload File & Install.
- It should come back with a successful install page.
- Click on Search Plugin - if you want events to appear in the main Joomla search page
- Save this file to your desktop. We suggest you create a folder called Joomla.
- In your administrator back end of your website:
- Click into Extensions
- Click into Install/Uninstall
- Under Upload Package File click on Browse
- Browse to the Desktop Joomla folder you created in step 1
- Open the file plg_search_jevents_1.5.3b.zip (Click file, Click on Open)
- Now click on Upload File & Install.
- It should come back with a successful install page.
JEvents is now installed
You will see the JEvents as a menu item under Components.
And under Extensions and Module Manager you will find JEvents Calendar, Latest JEvents.
And in Extensions and Plugin Manager you will find Search - JEvents
