JEvent

JEvent is a calendar module for Joomla.

Go to the link above to download the JEevent.

 

Choose the latest Free Downloads JEvent, currently 1.5.3

  1. Click into the download page
  2. Click the download button (Green and on the right)
  3. This explains JEvent
  4. There is a link on this page: main component, click on this
    1. Save this file to your desktop. We suggest you create a folder called Joomla.
    2. In your administrator back end of your website:
    3. Click into Extensions
    4. Click into Install/Uninstall
    5. Under Upload Package File click on Browse
    6. Browse to the Desktop Joomla folder you created in step 1
    7. Open the file com_jevents_1.5.3.zip (Click file, Click on Open)
    8. Now click on Upload File & Install.
    9. It should come back with a successful install page.
  5. Everything else is optional, but we suggest that you install at least:
  6. Click on Mini-Calendar Module - which gives an overview of events which can be placed on any page
    1. Save this file to your desktop. We suggest you create a folder called Joomla.
    2. In your administrator back end of your website:
    3. Click into Extensions
    4. Click into Install/Uninstall
    5. Under Upload Package File click on Browse
    6. Browse to the Desktop Joomla folder you created in step 1
    7. Open the file mod_jevents_cal_1.5.3.zip (Click file, Click on Open)
    8. Now click on Upload File & Install.
    9. It should come back with a successful install page.
  7. Click on Latest Events Module - which gives a brief summary of upcoming events
    1. Save this file to your desktop. We suggest you create a folder called Joomla.
    2. In your administrator back end of your website:
    3. Click into Extensions
    4. Click into Install/Uninstall
    5. Under Upload Package File click on Browse
    6. Browse to the Desktop Joomla folder you created in step 1
    7. Open the file mod_jevents_latest_1.5.3.zip (Click file, Click on Open)
    8. Now click on Upload File & Install.
    9. It should come back with a successful install page.
  8. Click on Legend Module - this gives the key to the category colours and is needed by the main calendar component if you want this to display at the bottom of the calendar
    1. Save this file to your desktop. We suggest you create a folder called Joomla.
    2. In your administrator back end of your website:
    3. Click into Extensions
    4. Click into Install/Uninstall
    5. Under Upload Package File click on Browse
    6. Browse to the Desktop Joomla folder you created in step 1
    7. Open the file mod_jevents_legend_1.5.3.zip (Click file, Click on Open)
    8. Now click on Upload File & Install.
    9. It should come back with a successful install page.
  9. Click on Search Plugin - if you want events to appear in the main Joomla search page
    1. Save this file to your desktop. We suggest you create a folder called Joomla.
    2. In your administrator back end of your website:
    3. Click into Extensions
    4. Click into Install/Uninstall
    5. Under Upload Package File click on Browse
    6. Browse to the Desktop Joomla folder you created in step 1
    7. Open the file plg_search_jevents_1.5.3b.zip (Click file, Click on Open)
    8. Now click on Upload File & Install.
    9. It should come back with a successful install page.

JEvents is now installed

You will see the JEvents as a menu item under Components.
And under Extensions and Module Manager you will find JEvents Calendar, Latest JEvents.
And in Extensions and Plugin Manager you will find Search - JEvents
